Bellport High School senior Sandra Davis-Bailey was recently awarded the Principal’s Leadership Award by the Suffolk County High School Principals Association.

Davis-Bailey was selected for the award based on her work with the Multicultural Student Association. She played a key role in coordinating a groundbreaking, entirely student-led Black History Month celebration at the high school. She also assisted in a Hispanic Heritage Month initiative.

Davis-Bailey is a member of her school’s Athletes Helping Others Club, student council and Culinary Club. In addition, she is a member of her school’s cheer team and winter and spring track teams. Outside of school, she is a competitive dancer.

She will be attending Suffolk County Community College in the fall to study early childhood education and plans to continue dancing.
