Learn more in this video down below:
Capital Reserve Fund – Established May 17, 2016 by voter approval for the purpose of funding, in whole or in part, capital improvements to the facilities of the District. Use of the funds requires approval of District voters to undertake the following proposed capital improvement projects in the total amount of $2,611,500:
- $780,000, to replace the turf field at Bellport High School;
- $20,000, for the addition and replacement of interior handrails at Bellport High School;
- $8,000, for the replacement of interior doors at Bellport High School;
- $553,500, to upgrade the security camera system District-wide; and
- $1,250,000, to upgrade the security door access system District-wide.
These projects will be paid for by the capital reserve fund, without cost to the taxpayers, and they will be state-aidable, which means that the District will receive reimbursement from NYS in the form of building aid for a portion of the cost of the projects.
