Two Bellport High School girls varsity wrestlers Caitlin Maragioglio (Bellport) and Aaliyah Morrow (Bellport) and five of their teammates — Olivia Anello (Patchogue-Medford), Lily Blenk (Westhampton Beach), Miiko Foster (Riverhead), Miranda Pineiro (Longwood) and Veronica Sky Williams (William Floyd) — have been named to Newsday’s Top 50 Long Island Girls Wrestlers list. Anello was recognized for placing fourth in the inaugural state tournament; Blenk for being the runner-up in both the state tournament and Eastern States Classic; Foster for pinning her opponent in 2:00 for the 185-pound Suffolk title; Maragioglio for being the Suffolk runner-up and placing fourth in the state tournament; Morrow for being a runner-up at the state tournament and Eastern States Classic; Pineiro for being the Suffolk runner-up at 114 pounds; and Williams for placing fifth in the state tournament with a pin in 1:55.
