South Country appoints assistant superintendent for finance and management services

The South Country School District Board of Education has appointed Robert Doyle as the district’s new assistant superintendent for finance and management services.

“We are excited to welcome Robert Doyle to our district,” said interim Superintendent of Schools John Dolan. “Throughout the selection process, he demonstrated a strong understanding of school finance, strategic planning and operational leadership. We were particularly impressed by his extensive connections within the financial community, which will further strengthen the district's ability to identify opportunities, build partnerships and support long-term fiscal planning.”

Doyle joins South Country from the East Quogue School District, where he served as school business official/treasurer since 2023. In that role, he oversaw a $33.3 million budget, ensuring long-term fiscal responsibility.

Prior to East Quogue, Doyle was the school business official/treasurer of Springs School in East Hampton, supervising a $33 million budget. He previously managed over $190 million in assets in the private sector for high-net-worth clients and institutions.

Doyle holds a B.S. in business administration from Longwood University, an MBA in banking and finance from Dowling College, and school district business leader certification from Niagara University.

He is a current member and ex-captain of the Riverhead Volunteer Fire Department, past president of the Riverhead Volunteer Firefighters Association, former director of the Riverhead Polish Hall, and a volunteer and donor at East End Hospice.

“I am eager to bring my unique background of private and public schools finance management to the South Country School District,” said Doyle. “I look forward to helping to support the district’s curriculum goals through sound financial support.”
