Middle school students spread holiday cheer through card writing
Bellport Middle School eighth grade students recently took part in a meaningful community service project, writing heartfelt holiday cards for local senior citizens. As part of the project, Senator Dean Murray visited the school to speak with students about the importance of community service and the positive impact small acts of kindness can have. The students’ handwritten cards will be delivered to seniors in the area.
