Students in Bellport Middle School’s Exploratory Language and Culture class recently learned about Diwali, the Festival of Lights. They explored Indian culture and traditions, discovering how Diwali is celebrated across the country. They also created colorful paper lanterns and practiced saying “namaste,” a traditional greeting in Hindi.
