Members of the Bellport High School Student Council Executive Committee recently traveled to Washington, D.C., for a three-day National Student Council Leadership Conference. At the conference, the students networked with other student council groups, took part in discussions on school culture and climate, led small group discussions on community service activities, and participated in workshops for social-emotional learning and student activism. They also enjoyed a tour of the National Mall to see the Washington Monument, the White House, and the Lincoln, World War II and Korean War memorials.
