Bellport Middle School students recently took part in an engaging financial literacy simulation designed to teach money management and budgeting skills.

As part of the activity, the students were each assigned a career and salary and challenged to make financial decisions by visiting a series of booths where they selected housing, transportation and other lifestyle expenses while working within their assigned budgets. The goal of the exercise was for students to make responsible financial choices while still maintaining money in savings at the end of the activity
