Bellport Middle School students recently traveled to the nation’s capital as part of the school’s annual educational trip to Washington, D.C. The trip provided students with an opportunity to explore many of the country’s most significant historic landmarks and monuments while deepening their understanding of American history and government. The students visited sites such as the Lincoln Memorial and the U.S. Capitol. The annual trip is designed to bring classroom learning to life by allowing students to see firsthand the places and institutions they study in their social studies courses.
