Bellport HS seniors recognized by board of education
Bellport High School seniors Gabriel Andre and Jessiah Torres were recognized by the South Country Board of Education with certificates of achievement during the board’s Jan. 7 meeting. Andre was honored for making history as the district’s first National Merit Commended Scholar, while Torres was recognized for earning a full, four-year college scholarship to Boston University through the QuestBridge National College Match Scholarship Program.
