Concert music in the district’s auditoriums may have been silenced this fall, but the COVID-19 pandemic was no match for music teachers who virtually shared videos, performance recordings and classroom projects with parents and the community during a virtual music showcase.

“The show must go on,” District Music Chairperson Victoria Hartman said. “By creating a Google classroom, parents and members of the community could listen to and view all of the wonderful music being made in our buildings.”

There were group and individual performances, as well as student artwork, which showcased the acquired skills of the district’s talented students. Ms. Hartman said the showcase was a huge success and that there are plans for a similar showcase this spring.
