Harlem Wizard Patric Massey, show name The Artist, recently visited Verne W. Critz students, bringing with him motivational messages about acceptance and perseverance in a fun and engaging way. His visit was sponsored through a South Country Education Foundation grant written by kindergarten teacher Megan Huber, first grade teacher Tracy Behl and special education teachers Ashley Sagistano and Melissa Satterley.

Not only did The Artist perform some of the team’s hottest tricks but chose students and teachers to assist in some special court moves. The object of the assembly, however, was to discuss bullying with the students and to promote more acceptance of others. He also harped on his own motto about perseverance, “Stay positive through the darkest of times.”
