Q. When can the community expect to receive a final copy of the report from Investigative Management Group?

A. The District anticipates the release of this report prior to the next Board meeting scheduled for July 15, 2026.

Q. How can a School Board Member be removed from the Board of Education?

A. 1. File an Appeal with the NYS Commissioner of Education. You can petition the Commissioner of Education under Education Law § 306 or § 310.

The Reasons: The member must be guilty of a willful violation of law, neglect of duty, or willful disobedience of a Commissioner's order. "Willful" means they did it intentionally and with a wrongful purpose.

The Process: You must file a formal, sworn petition containing factual evidence.

The Deadline: The petition must be filed within 30 days of the action or decision you are complaining about.

2. Have the School Board Remove the Member

The school board can declare a seat vacant in specific situations:

• Absences: The member deliberately misses three consecutive meetings without a valid excuse.
• Residency: The member permanently moves out of the school district.
