Our Community

  The South Country School District is centrally located 50 miles east of New York City and 50 miles west of Montauk Point, on the south shore of Long Island, in the Township of Brookhaven, Suffolk County. Beaches, golf courses, numerous recreational activities, and major shopping areas are easily accessible, as are cultural activities.

There are major banks, churches, theater groups, musical groups, and a community hospital available for local residents.  Nearby colleges and universities such as St. Joseph's College, Suffolk Community College, and Stony Brook University offer a variety of outstanding undergraduate and graduate coursework.
