Math and Science Honor Societies and Clubs

High School

MATH TEAM Members of the Math Team are introduced to non-traditional and challenging mathematical problems and provided with strategies and techniques to solve them. Team members compete in the Suffolk County Math League and in tournaments throughout the year.

STUDENTS FOR ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY (S.E.Q) This club is dedicated to the improvement of the environment. The group meets to work on projects that focus on local ecology. Members seek to explore a two-way involvement with the community in an effort to improve our surroundings.

MATH HONOR SOCIETY This state-sponsored organization provides recognition of achievement in mathematics, enhances knowledge and understanding of mathematics, and encourages talented students to help others develop and interest and achievement in mathematics.

SCIENCE HONOR SOCIETY This honor organization is for advanced Science students. Members participate in field trips and coordinate fundraising activities. Students who apply must demonstrate academic performance in Science.
