ASTRONOMY Full Year, Alternate day, ½ credit (D427A) Astronomy traces the origin and evolution of the universe to the present day. Current theories are presented and discussed. Current discoveries in astronomy are analyzed with emphasis on planetary and star formation. To this end the possibility and, indeed, probability of life elsewhere is offered to the student. Personal conclusions about extraterrestrials are guided by the assignments: Astronomy labs, essays and investigations.
