Frank P. Long Music Program

The Frank P. Long music program is designed to inspire and cultivate a love for music through a range of engaging opportunities. In addition to general music classes offered during the school day for all students, we provide after-school programs where students can participate in Band, Orchestra, and Chorus.

Band and Orchestra ensembles meet twice a week—on Tuesdays and Thursdays—while Chorus students gather one day a week, either on Mondays or Wednesdays.

For our 4th grade instrumental students, the year culminates with a special Courtyard Concert in June, showcasing their growth and musical achievements. All choral students, along with 5th grade band and orchestra members, perform twice a year, with concerts in January and May at the Bellport Middle School auditorium.

In addition to ensemble rehearsals, all instrumental students receive group pull-out lessons each week during the school day, ensuring they receive focused instruction and make progress on their instruments.

Whether students are just beginning their musical journey or further developing their skills, the Frank P. Long Music Program offers a vibrant and supportive environment to help them reach their musical potential.
