Detective Rory Forrestal, an expert in the field of Internet and computer crimes, recently visited Bellport High School to talk to our freshmen and sophomore students about the dangers and consequences of social media. He informed the students about the laws regarding photos posted and shared, sexting, and cyberbullying. His message to students was to "think before you click" and to protect themselves. The Suffolk County Police Department will return in the spring for an informational presentation specifically targeted for parents and guardians.
