The Virtual Backpack will contain all
of the notices, flyers, forms, principals’
newsletters and other materials that are sent home
with your child from the school's main office.

Street Honors Our Veterans
In honor of Veterans Day, third
graders in Ms. Leonardi, Ms. Bartkewicz and Ms.
Yee’s classes at Kreamer Street Elementary School
created greeting cards for veterans who reside at
the Long Island Veterans Home in Stony Brook, NY.
After
discussing citizenship and patriotism in class, the
students wrote letters to the veterans thanking them
for risking their lives for our freedom. Many of
the students wanted these veterans to know that they
have not been forgotten. This was a great way for
the students to practice their letter-writing
skills, while showing patriotism and honoring great
Americans at the same time!
