The Inkwell has been formed in order to nurture the creative side of Bellport High School's many talented and spirited students. The club's goal is to create a forum that provides our students with a safe and nurturing environment that is conducive towards self expression of the written word. This self expression may include, but is not limited to, original poetry, songs, short stories, novels, or personal essays. By nurturing the writers within our young people, Bellport High School provides another vehicle to aid in the academic as well as personal growth of its students.

Read around
Creative Writing
Experimenting with different genres/styles
Entering writing contests
Open Mic- schedule TBD (subject to approval)
Field trip- Outdoor writing workshop- Date TBD (subject to approval)

Community Service
Write letters to men and women serving in Iraq or Afghanistan
Safe Halloween
