April 22nd was EARTH DAY! In
order to celebrate, Brookhaven
Elementary School hosted a
number of exciting events to help
educate our students about the
importance of "Reducing, Reusing and
Recycling". On
April 16th, we had a "kick-off"
assembly where students had the
opportunity to view videos that
explained the importance
of
recycling. On April 19th, our
students were visited by Mr. Earth
and his friends, Mr. Trash Can and
Ms. Recycling Bin. The halls
of Brookhaven were littered with
trash and students had a chance to
see what our Earth would look like
if we don't take the time to
recycle. All week long students recycled their
used water bottles. The Courtyard Cleanup
will be held on April 26th.
Many thanks to our wonderful
Courtyard Committee for making this
such a fun and wonderful learning
experience!
