| Grade one students learn how to use different art media, distinguish between art media, and apply art ideas to familiar subjects. The art elements also applies to other subject areas whenever possible. | Second grade students continue using various media, but different application techniques are taught. Socialization and cooperative learning is incorporated into lessons and there is a stronger emphasis on language and vocabulary. Second grade students also are encouraged to join the art club which enriches classroom learning and gives students more individualized attention while allowing them to interact with other students who share their art interest. | Third grade students build on previous skills but writing about art is also incorporated. A classroom library is available for students to continue learning on their own. |
