National CHARACTER COUNTS! Week
October 20-24th, 2008

Our South Country Schools are proud to be a part of the National Character Counts Program.  To coordinate with National week, our district held a food drive.  Bins were provided at each school building to collect the food drive items.  This activity coordinates with the “Caring” pillar of the CHARACTER COUNTS! program.

South Country Library Children's Department also celebrated  CHARACTER COUNTS! Week by offering an informational bibliography and a book display. Bumper stickers, bookmarks, pencils, and wrist bands were available free to area students.

Brookhaven's Character Counts Tree

Brookhaven has a "Character Counts" tree in our lobby.  Be sure to check back and see how our tree "grows" each month as our students decorate  with a different pillar of character.
