BELLPORT MIDDLE SCHOOL
SCIENCE TEAM IS TOPS
Once again Bellport Middle School has shown that we are an academic force
to be reckoned with.
At the end of the 2008
school year the science club competed in a two-part
competition at Brookhaven National Laboratories. Dan Garisto, Michelle
Henricksen, Ryan McGlynn, Joe Neese and Ian Patterson represented the
team. They brought home two trophies coming in first place in the Fuel
Cell Car competition and second place in the Science and Mathematics
academic competition out of 20 teams from Suffolk County. Also offering
support to the team and building model fuel cell cars were Sajid Hossain,
Bradley Schwartz, Michael Bridgwood and Rebecca Nardulli. As a reward for
their success the team was amongst the first to ride in an actual working
fuel cell car.
A BIG THANKS TO MRS. PLOTNICK AND MR. GUALTIERI FOR THEIR HARD WORK AND
DEDICATION TO THESE STUDENTS.
