FPL Character Counts    Planting & Beautification Event is a Hit! Frank P. Long's CHARACTER COUNTS! Committee coordinated a special planting event in May.  Dr.       Dabrusky had a great idea to plant flowers to represent the colors of the six pillars of character.  The PTA generously donated money for this purpose and Mrs. Gurney shopped for the flowers.  Each classroom teacher selected representatives to plant the flowers.  Students worked during their recess periods for two days.  Ms. George helped to take pictures and assisted with supervision.  Mr. Corr, our security guard helped to supervise students and got his hands dirty digging and preparing the flowerbed.  Mr. Piraino, our head custodian, assisted with watering our garden. Mr. Cisek and Mr. Corr worked with students to make wooden garden markers to label the character pillars.  Members of our building CHARACTER COUNTS! team who helped with this project are:  Mrs. Harjes, Mrs. Brugel, Mrs. Dinkel, Mrs. Gimpel, Mr. Farber, Mrs. Smith and Mr. Cisek.  Thanks to our students, staff, and PTA for their contributions to our beautiful flowerbed surrounding the FPL sign.
