The entire school gathered together for the historical
inauguration of Barack Obama. Every classroom discussed and
answered the question, How can we help our country shine
with President Obama? Two representatives from each class
shared their answer with the school. The children were also
able to view parts of the inauguration. They learned the
meaning of the words inauguration, oath and citizenship. We
joined together in song as we sang “What One Little Person
Can Do”. Mrs. Munisteri asked the students to think about
what they could do to help our school, community and
country. |

... giving a smile to everyone.
... recycling and planting trees.
... using less of our natural
resources therefore creating less pollution. |
The children held their lights up
high while singing the song titled "This Little Light of
Mine". |
