Local Poet Comes to Verne W. Critz
Local
poet Darren Sardelli recently visited Verne W. Critz
and Kreamer Street elementary schools. With a grant
from the South Country Education Foundation, the
students kicked off National Poetry Month. They
enjoyed three days of assemblies and poetry writing
workshops. During the workshops the students
created collaborative poems using Mr. Sardelli’s
techniques. Thanks to SCEF and Darren Sardelli for
further enhancing our educational program!

Science Night
The PTA sponsored the evening with the Mad
Scientist! Professor William shared some amazing
science experiments with us. We learned about
creating a hypothesis and discovering answers to
our questions. We had a great deal of fun and
look forward to our Science Fair in April!
