Students create original art based on specific art
elements and principals
Students continue to build their knowledge of various
media and learn about specific artists and their use of media
Students write papers based on classroom study of
artists, art periods, and various cultures. Various vocabulary terms are
stressed for use in these writing assignments.
Students learn about various cultures, and time periods.
Student responsibility is encouraged through use of the art room library.
Students are allowed to borrow books for one week, renew for additional
time, and if they choose, share something
about the book with the class.
